The internship is organised in association with the UK Chamber of Commerce and Industry and takes place from 24 to 30 April 2022 in the UK..

This internship highlights the modern production of test systems for the detection of coronavirus infection based on the example of advanced UK companies, competitive advantages of the visited companies, equipment and technologies.
As part of the programme delegates will visit factories and manufacturing sites of the UK’s leading businesses such as:
- OMEGA DIAGNOSTICS production facilities in Alva
- GLOBAL ACCESS DIAGNOSTICS – manufacturing facilities in Thurleigh
- UK RAPID ANTIGEN TEST CONSORTIUM (UK – RTC) – University of Oxford /University of Ulster
- CIGA CIGA Healthcare Ltd – manufacturing facilities in Ballymena
As part of the internship, delegates have the opportunity to visit manufacturing facilities of leading UK companies, as well as meet with their experts and discuss issues such as innovations in the production of rapid tests for the detection of infectious diseases, including the new coronavirus infection, coronavirus antibody tests, portable rapid tests, the principles used for the determination of viral nucleic acids, discuss the issues of conducting molecular diagnostics, discuss the direction point of care “point of care” used in the UK. Additionally, questions on the use of new diagnostic systems, new technology for testing for coronavirus and other viral diseases will be considered.
