At the request of several companies, as well as due to the interest in this topic, Britannica Business Systems offers to take part in international practical internship on the subject: “APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES AND AI (artificial intelligence) in METALLURGY” will be held in Europe from January 19 to 25, 2025.
This internship highlights the issues of innovation, digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the production processes of metallurgical plants to increase productivity, optimize processes and improve product quality.
During the internship, the delegation will explore the use of digital twins with artificial intelligence (AI) support for modeling and predicting results, as well as improving operational efficiency, preventive maintenance and optimization of plant processes, digital steel production using artificial intelligence to optimize output, energy consumption, throughput, quality and productivity (YET – QP), implementation of AI models for real-time decision-making, optimization of blast furnace operation and procurement of raw materials.
Additionally, the delegation will discuss the use of machine vision for quality analysis, discuss the software platforms used at the visited enterprises to assess the energy performance of industrial companies in real time using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, discuss digital steel production with fully automated AI-controlled plants, as well as continuous improvement of environmental impact and increased competitiveness.
During the internship in Europe, the visits are planned to following companies:
- ARCELOR MITTAL – production facility in Gil, Belgium
- OUTOKUMPU – an integrated plant in Tornio, Finland
- TATA STEEL – an integrated plant in Ijmuiden, the Netherlands
- THYSSEN KRUPP – production in Duisburg, Germany
- *ISDEMIR (OYAK Mining Metallurgy Group) – production in Payas, Turkey
