The “Latest Copper Mining Technologies and Methods – Best Practices in Mexico and Peru” will take place from 23 to 29 May 2021 in Mexico and Peru.
*Since Mexico and Peru are opening their factories for visits in May 2021, this programme will take place in May with the support of the Trade and Industry Palates of Peru and Mexico.

This internship covers new areas of copper mining by open pit and other methods, modernisation of production, increasing the efficiency of technological processes, issues of integrated use of raw materials, reduction of recycled waste and many others. Delegates will visit the following facilities:

- Mexico – CHALCHIHUITES mine and metallurgical complex (Mexico)
- TOQUEPALA mines and plants (Peru)
- CUAJONE Mines and Plants (Peru)
- International – production sites in Antamina (Peru)
- International – production sites in Antapaccay (Peru)
*Additional dates from 30 May to 6 June 2021 will include an internship in Turkey with visits to copper mining operations (Cayeli Bakir Isletmeleri – Çayeli, Rize, Turkey; Eti Bakır A.Ş. – Küre Plant, Kure, Turkey; Murgul Plant – Murgul, Turkey; Eldorado Gold Corporation – Skouries Mine, Chalkidiki Peninsula, Greece).
